MED 9 - Κυρ. Μητσοτάκης: Συνάντηση με τον Βασιλιά της Ιορδανίας Abdullah II

Στο περιθώριο της Συνόδου Κορυφής MED9 στη Σλοβενία, ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης συναντήθηκε με τον Βασιλιά της Ιορδανίας Abdullah II.

 

Κατά τη διάρκεια της συνάντησης συζητήθηκαν οι τελευταίες εξελίξεις στη Μέση Ανατολή. Ο πρωθυπουργός εξέφρασε την εκτίμησή του για τον ρόλο της Ιορδανίας στην σταθερότητα της ευρύτερης περιοχής. Τόνισε ακόμη τη σημασία τήρησης της εκεχειρίας, καθώς και της επίτευξης προόδου στα σημεία του σχεδίου ειρήνευσης του Προέδρου Τραμπ.

 

Ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης υπογράμμισε ότι τόσο οι ευρωπαϊκές χώρες διμερώς, όσο και η ΕΕ, θα πρέπει να συνεισφέρουν στην εφαρμογή του σχεδίου και κυρίως στην παράδοση ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας με αποτελεσματικό τρόπο.

 

Επίσης ο πρωθυπουργός επανέλαβε την ετοιμότητα της Ελλάδας να συνδράμει με ανθρωπιστική βοήθεια και να συμμετάσχει στην ανοικοδόμηση της Γάζας.
