Παραολυμπιακοί Αγώνες: «Χάλκινος» ο Πολυχρονίδης στο μπότσια BC3

Ο Γρηγόρης Πολυχρονίδης χάρισε στην Ελλάδα το πέμπτο της μετάλλιο (2 ασημένια, 3 χάλκινα) στους Παραολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Παρισιού. Με την τεράστια εμπειρία που διαθέτει κατάκτησε το χάλκινο στο ατομικό BC3, στο τάι μπρέικ, για να φτάσει τα επτά μετάλλια συνολικά σε πέντε διαδοχικούς Παραολυμπιακούς Αγώνες (από το 2008)!

 

Ο «μικρός» τελικός κόντρα στον Πολωνό Ντάμιαν Ισκρίτσκι ήταν πραγματικό θρίλερ. Η κανονική διάρκεια ολοκληρώθηκε στο 4-4 για να πάει ο αγώνας στο τάι μπρέικ. Εκεί ο Πολυχρονίδης με τη στήριξη της ramp operator Κατερίνας Πατρώνη ακολούθησε τρομερή τακτική για να πάρει τη νίκη με δύο μόνο βολές!
