Τουρκία-Συρία: Περισσότεροι από 23.000 νεκροί από τους σεισμούς

Αυξήθηκε εκ νέου ο απολογισμός των θυμάτων των ισχυρών σεισμών που συγκλόνισαν τη Δευτέρα τη νοτιοανατολική Τουρκία και τη βορειοδυτική Συρία, ξεπερνώντας συνολικά τις 23.000 στις δύο χώρες.Στην Τουρκία, η Διεύθυνση Διαχείρισης Καταστροφών και Εκτάκτων Καταστάσεων (ΑFAD) ανακοίνωσε απόψε πως μέχρι στιγμής έχουν επιβεβαιωθεί 19.875 θάνατοι από τους σεισμούς, ενώ οι τραυματίες ανέρχονται σε 79.717.

Νωρίτερα σήμερα, διασώστες ανέσυραν ζωντανούς από τα ερείπια μια μητέρα και το μόλις 10 ημερών μωράκι της. Όσο περνούν οι ώρες, εξανεμίζονται οι ελπίδες για την ανεύρεση επιζώντων στα ερείπια των κτιρίων που κατέρρευσαν.

Περισσότεροι από 3.466 είναι οι επιβεβαιωμένοι θάνατοι στη Συρία και ως εκ τούτου ο απολογισμός των θυμάτων στις δύο χώρες ανέρχεται σε τουλάχιστον 23.341. Συνελήφθη ενώ προσπαθούσε να φύγει από τη χώρα ο κατασκευαστής ενός 12όροφου πολυτελούς κτιρίου που κατέρρευσε στο Χατάι
