Καθάρισε από νωρίς η Ρόμα

Η Ρόμα επικράτησε της Έμπολι με 2-0 μέσα στο Ολίμπικο. Το σύνολο του Ζοσέ Μουρίνιο δεν μπορούσε να αναζητάει καλύτερη αρχή καθώς πέτυχε δύο γρήγορα γκολ από εκτελέσεις κόρνερ του Ντιμπαλα, με τον Ιμπάνεθ και τον Έιμπραχαμ στο 2ο και στο 6ο λεπτό αντίστοιχα. Η Έμπολι σταθεροποίησε το παιχνίδι μετά το ημίωρο χωρίς όμως να απειλήσει για την μείωση. Το έργο της Έμπολι στο δεύτερο ημίχρονο ήταν σαφέστατα αρκετά δύσκολο όμως κατάφερε να κρατήσει την μπάλα και να βγάλει ενέργεια, αλλά οι Ρωμαίοι κράτησαν ανέπαφη την εστία τους και πήραν την νίκη.

Η Ρόμα ανέβηκε στην 3η θέση του βαθμολογικού πίνακα με 40 βαθμούς ενώ η Έμπολι με 26 βαθμούς παρέμεινε στην 10η θέση.
